Program Overview:

This webinar will delve into the intricate relationship between financial assets and estate planning. Working with clients to effectively coordinate financial assets can assure that value is maximized and asset protection is enhanced. The webinar will review strategies to coordinate estate planning with various types of financial assets, including investments, real estate, retirement accounts, insurance, and other assets. We will discuss how to align financial assets with estate planning objectives.

  • Clarify estate planning essentials: Revocable Trust, Will, Powers of Attorney
  • Review various financial assets and how different types of assets are best coordinated with an estate plan
  • Identify techniques to ensure effective coordination of financial assets

Mary Vandenack, JD, ACTEC, COLPM®, CAP®, AEP® (Distinguished) is Managing Member, Omaha Office of Duggan Bertsch. She brings significant experience from multiple disciplines to provide integrated tax, business, real estate, financial assets, asset protection, philanthropic and trust and estate counsel to her clients.

 

Mary is passionate about her clients and their specific objectives and challenges. Mary routinely advises business owners on the issues related to starting, growing and selling their business as well as personal tax, estate and legacy planning. Mary has been named to the NAEPC Estate Planning Hall of Fame recognizing her efforts in serving clients as well as supporting her profession.

 

Mary founded and hosts the podcast, Legal Visionaries, which covers tax, estate planning, and business topics as well as law firm leadership, technology and wellness. Mary is an innovator in the integration of technology into the practice of law. Mary won the American Bar Association James I. Keane Award, and has been inducted into Women of Legal Tech.

For Our Councils

NAEPC understands that councils want and need compelling virtual programming options to supplement their regular calendar of events. To accommodate this need, NAEPC is offering affiliated councils on-demand* access to any four webinars for a reduced cost of $400. Choose the "Pro-Rated Group Gathering" option on the online registration form and we will contact you promptly for your selections and to provide the program links and accompanying materials.  

Councils that wish to offer continuing education credit must become the provider with their state and/or governing body.

*NAEPC will provide a website link and password to the recorded version of each webinar you choose, which can be used to show the program to council members and guests who have gathered together in person or on a virtual meeting. Please allow up to three business days after the live webinar to receive the link to the recorded program. 


Continuing Education Credit

Continuing education credit is available at most webinars for Accredited Estate Planner® designees.  In addition, a general certificate of completion will be available for those who feel the program satisfies their continuing education requirements and are able to self-file.  It is the responsibility of the attendee to determine whether their state, discipline, or designation will allow one to self-file for a distance-learning program.  Please contact webinars@naepc.org prior to attending your first program if you have any questions with regard to the availability of credit.
